I have been a huge fan of Maybelline’s foundations. Especially their matte and poreless and their luminous and smooth foundation has been a staple in my collection. Both are such great everyday foundations. Not long ago, Maybelline launched their OG superstay foundation, which I have yet to try. It received a lot of positive reviews. So when Maybelline released their new Superstay Active wear foundation I knew I had to try it.
What it is?
The NEW Maybelline’s superstay active wear foundation has a wear time up of 30H! Which is absolutely insane. This foundation is going to be perfect for events. The foundation claims to be light weight, breathable, and also full coverage.
What it does?
It’s transfer-resistant, water-resistant and sweat-resistant. When it comes to high-pigment foundation with a weightless, natural finish, this comfortable matte foundation goes above and beyond to transform the look of your skin. It features an oil-free formula that doesn’t clog pores and is dermatologist tested. It is suitable for all skin types.

Shade range
This foundation is available in 20 shades. I was kindly gifted the shades 31 and 36. The shade 31 is my perfect winter shade, I might have to get the shade 32 or 34 for summer time. The shade 36 was dark, but workable.
Packaging
Glass packaging with white lid Looks super sleek and beautiful! I love foundations that come in glass packaging. This foundation has a pump which I love.

How to use
Apply smoothly and evenly to your face and blend with your brush, fingertips or a beauty blender. My favourite way of blending the foundation is via a foundation brush. My fav brush to buff any foundation is the IT Cosmetics heavenly luxe dual brush. It has been a holy grail since I tried it!
My Experience:
The consistency of the foundation is thick, yet easy to work with. At first, I was scared I thought the foundation is going to be cakey, but when I tried blending the foundation it blew my mind. The foundation blends flawlessly into the skin. It sits beautifully on the skin. The foundation effectively concealed my redness and my acne marks. The finish of the foundation is dreamy. I love the matte/ velvety finish. The foundation hold very well throughout the day. I can not promise the 30H wear, as I tested it for 20H, but it held beautifully and controlled my oil. I tend to get oily throughout the day. Nonetheless, the foundation did a great job at controlling the oil. I did not felt the need to set the foundation with powder.
If you love a good breathable and full coverage foundation then I highly recommend you to check this new offering from Maybelline. The only downside of the foundation is that it dries fast, which means you have to work fast with it. I recommend doing one side of your face at a time.
