My review:

I really enjoy using this mask. I use it once a week. The mask deeply cleanses my skin and leaves it soft and smooth afterwards. The mask does not dry my skin, which so many clay masks tend to do. The mask does not only smell delicious, but it also does a great job of keeping my skin clear. I do get hormonal breakouts now and then, but I pretty much have clear skin. How I prepare the mask is as follows: I use a skincare spoon and I take two spoons of the powder in my palm, and with the help of the spoon, I add some drops of water. When the masks turn into a mouse-like consistency, I apply it on my face. Make sure that your skin is dry before the application. The mousse-like texture, of the mask, is so interesting it is super fun to apply on my face. I did feel a tingling sensation with the mask, which shows that the mask is doing its magic, but it quickly goes away.

If you are looking for a mask which is lightweight, fun to prepare and smells delicious, then look no other than the Lani cacao detox mask. The mask lasts forever, as you only need 1 tsp to cover your whole face. The mask retails for 18.99 pounds. In my opinion, the price of the mask is fairly priced. If a mask is this good I am happy to pay every single penny without thinking.

Texture of the mask

I love when products come in glass packaging, they look luxurious and are fresh too. Another plus point is that glass packaging is 100 per cent recyclable. It is very eco-friendly. Did you know that nearly 80 per cent of glass that is recovered is made into new glass products?

Have you tried Lani?

My Review:

During the whole lockdown thing, my skin went super dry. I have combination skin ( dry-oily t-zone), but the quarantine made my skin more on the drier side. I am always on a hunt for good moisturisers that would work for my skin type without breaking me out. I have been using the Avocado Pear Nourishing night cream every night, and I have been enjoying the moisturiser. The moisturiser is not that rich in texture which I thought it would be. It is on the light weight texture side. The moisturiser is packed with hydration. It does not feel heavy on the skin, it absorbs very well into the skin. If you have dry skin, this moisturiser is going to do wonders to your skin. The moister is very nourishing and leaves my skin soft and hydrated until the next day. It is a perfect night cream for my skin which ticks all boxes for me.

My Thoughts:

It is a decent serum, which is perfect for dehydrated skin. The serum has a very fine watery texture. It instantly hydrates the skin and absorbs fast into the skin. I cannot comment on the effectiveness of plumping the skin, as I have not seen visible results with this serum. The negative part about the serum is the scent. The scent reminds me of baby products. If the scent was minimal or 0 fragrance I would have preferred that. In short, it is not my fav serum I have tried many serums across different brands and I prefer them over this one.

My Thoughts:

The Aura Manuka honey mask has a beautiful creamy texture, which is lightweight in texture, yet packed with amazing ingredients as mentioned above. The mask feels very cooling, which I love. I also had a few breakouts before using the mask, and I notice my breakouts reduced in size, the mask claims to be ideal for blemish-prone skin, and I could not agree more. I do tend to get breakouts from time to time. I am in love with this mask, as the mask leaves my skin clean, smooth and soft. The fragrance is so good, it is refreshing and relaxing.

My application procedure: After cleansing my skin, I apply a thick layer of the mask on my clean, dry skin. I left the mask for 15 mins, as stated on the tube. The mask is so easy to wash off, it emulsifies with water. Antipodes also sells a travel size of the Aura manuka honey mask it is a great way to try a travel size before purchasing the full size.

The serum leaves my skin very glowing it has a beautiful lightweight texture, which absorbs beautifully into the skin. I noticed a huge difference in my skin and I only used this serum for two weeks. My skin looks visibly brighter and even-toned than before. I am so impressed with this serum, it is one of the best vitamin C serums that I have tried in a while. I use two pumps to cover my whole face and neck. After I apply my serum, I go in with my moisturiser and SPF. I have been using this serum since I received it, and I have been using it in my AM and PM routine. I am going to continue using it because I enjoy using it. If you want more hydration, I suggest using a Hyaluronic Acid serum after this serum.

Mulac Cosmetics Review

I was recently introduced to Mulac Cosmetics, and I tested their products out, and thought to share my first impressions with you all. Mulac Cosmetics is an Italian professional makeup brand. I am very impressed with the quality of their products. The shakti palette is from their Kali line and it consists of 6 shades, including two matte shades, two shimmer shades and two duo chrome pressed glitter shades. The matte shades are very pigmented and blend very well, and the shimmer shades are very flattering on the eyes and are also pigmented. The glitter shades look so beautiful on the eyes. You may use glitter glue for the press glitters to last longer on the eyes. The palette is travel friendly, I love the small size of it as one can fit it in a makeup bag.

The palette retails for 24.90 Euros.

Mulac Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks

Moving on to their liquid lipsticks, their liquid lipsticks are one of my favourite liquid lipstick formula, because they are very comfortable on the lips. They are non-sticky, very opaque and long-lasting. I would have to purchase a few nude shades from this line. I was sent two of the shades which are called No pain no gain and Strawberry champagne. No pain no gain is a beautiful red shade. It is super flattering and would suit any skin tone. Strawberry champagne is a dusty mauve shade, and is a very beautiful shade.

Mulac Cosmetics Eye liner pencil

Their eye pencil is very creamy, opaque and easy to work with. It is in the shade 01 Shiva. It is a true black shade. It reminds me of the Marc Jacobs high liners. Because it does not budge all day, and is very pigmented.

Mulac Cosmetics Macara

Their mascara performs very well, and gives length to my lashes which I love, it also does a great job at giving volume to my lashes. Another thing which I really like about the mascara is that it is very easy to remove with a makeup remover. The wand of the mascara is curved, which makes the application process very easy.

All products are gifted*, but opinions are my own.
